Crochet Christmas Tree – Free Knitting Pattern

If you have ever found yourself wanting to crochet a Christmas tree – now it the time. The YouTube tutorial is linked below, and the interactive pattern is free on Ribblr here.

You will need:
– DK weight yarn
– 4mm crochet hook
– Darning needle
– Stuffing
– Scissors and a stitch marker

The Tree

  1. 6sc in a magic circle. Close the loop.
  2. 1sc, inc – repeat (9)
  3. BLO sc whole row
  4. 2sc, inc – repeat (12)
  5. BLO sc whole row
  6. 3sc, inc – repeat (15)
  7. BLO sc whole row
  8. 4sc, inc – repeat (18)
  9. BLO sc whole row
  10. 5sc, inc – repeat (21)
  11. BLO sc whole row
  12. 6sc, inc – repeat (24)
  13. BLO sc whole row
  14. 7sc, inc – repeat (27)
  15. BLO sc whole row
  16. 8sc, inc – repeat (30)

  18. Cut yarn and pull through to finish

Floofy branches

From the top of the tree, in all the FLO – ss, 3hdc – repeat all the way down the tree

Christmas lights – make 15

  1. 3sc in a magic loop. Cut yarn, pull through. Close the loop.
  2. Keep the tails for sewing on

Take the tails of the Christmas lights, pull them through the breaks between the floofy branches on the tree. Take the 2 tails, and tie them in a knot together. (This might make more sense in the video)

Base

  1. 6sc in a magic loop
  2. inc – repeat (12)
  3. 1sc, inc – repeat (18)
  4. 2sc, inc – repeat (24)
  5. 3sc, inc – repeat (30)
  6. Stuff your tree, place the base on the bottom of the tree, sc all around (or stitch on)
