The Knit Guru

Incase this is confusing….. I called the introduction and supplies part 1…. This is the 5th part we will be knitting. There are 12 parts that involve making in this project, and 25 pieces overall. You may spread these out as you will. This is the Pathway Block.

For this block, you will need the tan/beige yarn and the grey yarn, and 4mm knitting needles

Cast on 40 stitches – 13 in tan, 14 in grey, 13 in tan
1. Knit 13 tan, 14 grey, 13 tan – keep these colours on these stitch numbers to the end. For simplicity, I will not write the colour change points again. They are the same. Wrap your yarns as you change colour.
2. Slip 1, knit to end (keeping the stitches in the same colour)
3. Slip 1, knit to end
4. Slip 1, knit to end
5. Slip 1, knit to the grey section, (p2, k2) repeat brackets over grey section ending on a p2, in tan section knit to end
6. Slip 1, knit 3, purl to the grey section, (k2, p2) repeat brackets over grey section ending on a k2, in tan section purl to last 4, knit 4
7. Slip 1, knit to the grey section, (k2, p2) repeat brackets over grey section ending on a k2, in tan section knit to end
8. Slip 1, knit 3, purl to the grey section, (p2, k2) repeat brackets over grey section ending on a p2, in tan section purl to last 4, knit 4

Rows 9-55: Repeat rows 5-8

56. 2. Slip 1, knit 3, purl to last 4 (keeping the stitches in the same colour), knit 4
57. Slip 1, knit to end
58. Slip 1, knit to end
59. Slip 1, knit to end
60. Cast off in knit stitch

You can darn in your yarn tails. You will need to make 2 of these blocks over the whole project. There are 12 parts that involve making in this project, and 25 pieces overall. You may spread these out as you will.
