At this stage all the pieces and instructions have been shared, and I will place this whole project on Ravelry. If you make it, by all means, use the project tag so I can see your work.

This blanket is almost as wide as a Queen size mattress, and it is square. It is a great lap blanket, play blanket, throw, single bed cover – you name it. It was designed to celebrate life on the farm, and to thank you all for your support over the years.

Here I will link all the blog posts for the 9 different squares, and the videos for the additional details.

You will need:

What do you need?

You can 100% use stash yarns for this project. These do need to be in DK weight yarn. You will need colours in the following colourways:
2 shades of green – one darker than the other – 200gm of each
Golden yellow – 200gm
Tan or beige – 150gm
Grey – 150gm
Red – 50gm
Blue – 50gm
Charcoal – 200gm

I used Red Hut wool which comes in 50gm balls. If you want more details about this particular yarn, here is a link: https://knitting.co.nz/products/woolly-red-hut-8ply

4mm straight knitting needles.
Darning needle.
Scissors

Most of the patterns are written. There are 2 charts. Every piece has a video tutorial. You will need to know how to knit and purl, slip stitches, yarn over, and knit 2 together. This is definitely an easy project.

The 9 Blocks

Each of these blocks has a written pattern and/or chart to help you create the squares. On the page is also a video tutorial to actually follow if you need further guidance for this project. The numbers of each block are given in the posts.
