Apple Cozies – to prevent bruised fruit

Screen Shot 2018-10-01 at 12.30.47 PM

These cozies fit a medium sized apple, sometimes advertised as a lunchbox or kiddie sized fruit. I always use a machine washable wool blend yarn with them.

My nieces and nephews love these cozies in their lunchbox, not just because they are cute, but because bruised fruit is a thing of the past.

You will need:
– red and green yarn
– crochet hook
– button
– darning needle
– 4mm double pointed needles

Think about the back to school market, as these make great lunchbox companions.

Cast on 12 stitches on 4mm dpn – 4 on each of 3 needles

Repeat the following on each needle in the rotation….
