Welcome to the super easy Mystery Knit Along. Today we make the first piece.
Using colour 1 cast on 24 stitches on 5.5mm needles.
This is a 8 row repeating pattern.
Row 1: Knit 2, Purl 2 – repeat over the whole row
Row 2: Knit 2, Purl 2 – repeat over the whole row
Row 3: Knit the whole row
Row 4: Purl the whole row
Row 5: Purl 2, Knit 2 – repeat over the whole row
Row 6: Purl 2, Knit 2 – repeat over the whole row
Row 7: Knit the whole row
Row 8: Purl the whole row
Complete this pattern 4 times – 32 rows
Cast off all stitches.
Leave your yarn tails at about 30cm long as we will use these for constructing the finished product.
Tips. This should be a square (or close enough to it). If your knitting is either tighter or looser, you might want to adjust the number of rows you complete.
You can make more than one of these to create a different object at the end of the knit along… however, the base pattern requires only 1. Label this as piece 1.
