The Knit Guru

Recently I attended the Capital Fibrefest 2023. This is a huge gathering of yarn and yarn related producers in Upper Hutt that occurs every year. It’s brilliant. While I have been aware of it, this is the first year I was able to attend.

And yes, I bought yarn.

Too much yarn probably, but that is okay.

Will I go again? 100%. The Upper Hutt Spinners and Weavers organise the event as a fundraiser – and it is wonderful. I enjoyed lining up with everyone and the shopping itself. It was a little overwhelming when pushed in around the Skeinz store to get the early bargains, but it was a nice crowd and no one was too pushy. We spent easily over an hour and could have spent longer if we didn’t have other life commitments going on.
