Time flies…. wear more slippers and watch more plays…

It’s been busy.  BUT EXCEPTIONAL!

For those who follow for the knitting patterns, here is a link to a pretty darn awesome pattern…. if I do say so myself.  It is the first slipper pattern that I have released, and will be part of an upcoming downloadable book of slipper designs.  For now, it is on Instructables, and I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to win a weaving loom.  If the option to vote for my instructable comes up, please do.  You can vote with Facebook/twitter without being spammed or having to sign up for anything.  Here they are, “Shirt and Tie” Slippers.  The pattern comes in 4 sizes.

I have also begun reviewing theatre!  Which is terrific.  I have been volunteering for the Kokomai Arts Festival, and I will be performing in it as The Queen of Hearts in “Alice and Wonderland” next week, so the reviewing is another super cool aspect of the festival that I really enjoy.  I got to see “The Bookbinder” – superb play, if you ever see it advertised, book tickets.  You will not be disappointed.  Next week I am looking at “Promise and Promiscuity” which will be funny.

I have finished re-working an old pattern design, which will be featured in a knitting magazine shortly.  I just have to get my hat model sorted out to wear the new version. LOL.

Knitting in hospital

I’ve been in and out of hospitals for a couple of weeks, but at least we have a plan!  And I am very fortunate and privileged to be born in a country that takes such good care of the health of its people.  I have nothing but admiration for the people of the public health system in New Zealand, and I wish that nurses (as teachers) were paid what they deserve.
