So, Pokemon Go released a new Pokemon…. YAY. The first weekend it was out, everyone was trying to find out what was up, because you would catch it, then it would turn into a Ditto. Now we know it is Meltan. And that there will be a quest later… which is bound to link to the upcoming Pokemon Let’s Go games for Switch. Clearly I need one of these.
In the meantime, here is a knitting pattern for Meltan. It is knit over 3 needles.
You will need:
- 3 x 4mm double pointed needles
- Grey and gold DK (8 ply) yarn
- Goggle eye (I recommend the 25mm diametre)
- Darning needle
- Stuffing
Cast on 24 stitches in grey.
Place 12 on each needle.

Stuff the Meltan from the bottom opening and stitch up the bottom. Attach a goggle eye through his hexagon head, pulling the centre of the hexagon in to create a deep-set button.
