It’s been such a busy time around here. And don’t even get me started on the flash flooding or thunderstorms! Here is a quick wee pattern for a cup cozy. I like them for popping on a mug as part of a gift, and they are really nice for stopping your hands burning when drinking something too hot.
You will need:
- 4mm knitting needles
- Cable needle
- DK yarn
- Darning needle
- Button
- Crochet hook


Cast on 21 on straight 4mm needles.
1. Knit 21
2. Knit 6, purl 9, knit 6
3. Knit 21
4. Knit 6, purl 9, knit 6
5. Knit 6, slip 3 onto cable needle in front, knit
3, knit 3 from cable needle, knit to end.
6. Knit 6, purl 9, knit 6
7. Knit 21
8. Knit 6, purl 9, knit 6
9. Knit 21
10. Knit 6, purl 9, knit 6
11. Knit 6, knit 3, slip 3 onto cable needle in
back, knit 3, knit 3 from cable needle, knit to
end.
12. Knit 6, purl 9, knit 6
Complete these 12 rows 7 times.
Cast off, crochet the tail into a chain, and stitch to the other side of the knitted strip.

Stitch on a button, and darn in the tails.
