Knitting projects, patterns and inspiration

Everything I knit in August

Honestly, August was a rush and a half. The weekends filled with One Act Play competitions and knitting at “Knit August Nights” and the days were filled with work and paperwork and all sorts of things. It was an insanely busy time.

However, I did manage to work on a few things. August was spent with a lot of my fingers in the pie of Ribblr – seeing if this is a platform that my knitting people want to use. It has taken me a wee while to get the interactive patterns set up, but I am slowly turning my more popular patterns, or older works, into interactive patterns as I update them. It has been interesting and we will see if it either widens the audience or offers something for those who want something more ad-free than this blog. Followers there are slowly growing, so it would be nice to work out if they are you fine folk, or a whole new swag of readers. Either way, my Ribblr profile is over here.

I didn’t release many patterns at all – but I did work on updating a few. The most recent release was the Lobster Claw Arm Warmers – which were the result of an experimentation as well as a reader request – so please, do message me if there is something you have a hankering for, because you never know what could come of it.

I did complete the Stephen West Surprise Sock-a-long – which was so much fun – but I have learned many things about what I do and do not like in a sock. I am planning a whole month of “Socktober” projects and posts around knitting socks, so watch out for more here. However, I have yet to decide when I release my video on the surprise sock-a-long.

I have continued working on my Big Blanket from “The Woven” and I shall finish it this year…….. lolololololol. This 2021 blanket is taking its time. But, after moving and life changing, it will soon have a forever home to live in…. when I can finish it.

Then I went to “Knit August Nights” and it was a blast. There will be a summary and a video coming on this when I get it edited, but I will definitely be going again. Totally worth going.

Anywho, my video is finally made and finally uploaded over here on Youtube if you want to see more.
