Well, I am famous for my Christmas themed jewellery 😂 at least, in Steel Magnolias I got to make the tree and all the bad Christmas crafts. It was a good time.
Here is a pattern for a knitted tree brooch.
You will need
- 4mm needles
- Green and brown DK yarn
- Darning needle
- Pinback or safety pin
- Beads to decorate
- Tinsel yarn (I trimmed the fur part short)
Cast on 2 stitches, place a stitch marker in between the stitches to make things easier to see.
Knit front and back into both of these stitches (4 stitches total)
Purl row
Knit front and back into all 4 stitches (8 stitches total)
Purl row
Knit front and back, knit 2, knit front and back, repeat on the other side of the stitch marker (12 stitches)
Purl row
Knit front and back, knit 4, knit front and back, repeat on the other side of the stitch marker (16 stitches)
Purl row
Knit front and back, knit 6, knit front and back, repeat on the other side of the stitch marker (20 stitches)
Purl row
Knit front and back, knit 8, knit front and back, repeat on the other side of the stitch marker (24 stitches)

Cast off 4 stitches, knit 4, cast off 8 stitches (removing the stitch marker), knit 4, cast off 4.
Change to brown yarn.

Cast off.
Fold tree in half. Stitch up the side of the tree. Sew a pin or safety pin onto the back. Decorate with beads.
