Team Seas – Free Knitting Pattern

When YouTube’s Mr Beast decided to clean up the oceans, I jumped straight on board. Next week I will be posting easy ways to make sure that our knitting isn’t harming the planet, but for today, I would like to offer you this pattern for free. If you wish to throw a donation towards Team Seas and help to remove rubbish from our oceans, brilliant and awesome.

You will need:
– DK yarn in blue, dark blue and white
– 4mm circular knitting needles
– Darning needle
Pom-pom

Cast on 100 stitches in the darker blue yarn and join these in the round.

Knit 2, Purl 2 rib over 20 rows.

Knit 5 full rows in the dark blue. Begin working the colour chart below, including the colour changes over the following 30 rows. The chart is a repeat of 20 stitches – so you will need to knit this chart 5 times per row.
Knit 5 full rows in the paler blue yarn.

Then begins the decreasing of the top of the hat.
Knit 3, Knit 2 together – repeat over the whole row.
