Ever wondered how to jazz up the gifting of a gift card or money? This is a very simple and really useful gift – I know I have a few of these floating around the place.
You will need:
– DK yarn
– 4mm knitting needles
– 13cm zip
– Sharp wool needle
Cast on 30 stitches.
Stockinette stitch until your piece measures 18 cm in length.
Cast off.
Sew the zip on the cast on and cast off edge of the piece, then stitch up the sides.
Clearly this is ripe for adaptation. Here I have a similar coin purse that has a pattern on it and here is another you can personalise with letters. This can also be lined with fabric, or use different yarns or knitting patterns on the actual work. You can make this longer or wider depending on the length of your zip. Go wild.
