You will need:

  • White DK yarn
  • Blue DK yarn
  • 4mm circular knitting needle
  • Darning needle
  • Stuffing

The Hat itself

You can make any style of hat you like. However, this is what I did.

Cast on 100 stitches in white.

Knit 2, purl 2 rib. Complete this rib style over 14 rotations.

Change to knit stitches. Knit 36 rows. You can increase this for a longer hat if you prefer.

Fold the horns in half. Stitch up from the point to the base of the horn. Stuff the horn. Stitch them onto the hat on opposites sides.

With the white yarn, wrap it around your hand a few times. Stitch this wrapped section onto the top of the hat like a tassel. You will need to do this firmly so that it doesn’t come off. When it is attached, trim the ends to create a fringe.
