The 13th Doctor has grown on me so much, the same sass that I have always loved from Doctor Who, then added so many more historical commentaries. Rosa… ARGH! How I cried! And instead of a Christmas special, we get a New Years special. Very cool. So you will have time to finish this in time for the New Year.
So this hat has to be released. Inspired by the 13th Doctors tee shirt, and re-imagined as a hat. This is a simple circular knit (but please let me know in the comments if you would like a straight needle version, and I can do that) You need about a 50gm ball of blue yarn, 25gm of the beige, and very little of the other colours.
You will need: – 4mm circular needle – DK yarn in blue, beige, green, red, teal, navy, violet and orange. – Pom-pom maker (or faux fur pom-pom… or any method you use for making poms) – stitch marker – Darning needle
Ear flaps – make 2

Change to blue yarn, and cast on 25 stitches. Cut yarn with a 20cm tail.
When you have completed the second earflap with the same 25 stitches cast on in blue, slide both sections together on the circular needle, join in the round and knit as one hat.

Finishing up.
Darn in your tails. Take lengths of beige yarn (of your choosing) and thread through the bottom hole in the ear flaps. Braid these into a tassel, and secure at the end with a piece of yarn tied in a knot. Attach a pom-pom at the top. You can use these instructions to make a removable pom-pom (I have a puppy…. this is essential as she has chewed many, many pom-poms)
